How to get rid of static

Have you ever gone to empty your seed container, only to have the seeds stubbornly cling to the sides? You end up banging the container just to get them out—or worse, you try to pick up a single seed and it skitters away on its own. Static electricity strikes again.

To prevent this, I start by wiping down the container with a fabric softener sheet. It instantly cuts the static. I also avoid plastic altogether and use a glass or metal dish instead, which makes handling seeds so much easier.
